In Fall 2017, the Junior League of Midland partnered with Communities in Schools to create the IMPACT mentoring program. I.M.P.A.C.T. is an acronym for Inspiring Mindful Progress in Academics & Community Together. This program targets “at risk” freshman female students with a year-long structured mentoring program.

Trained Junior League mentors meet bi-weekly with participants to discuss various personal development topics, including stress management/anxiety, safe dating and bullying, appropriate attire for any social situations, cyber safety and etiquette. This program empowers “at risk” students through engagement and mentorship to continue in school and graduate high school with their peers.
